RESOURCES FOR SCHOLARSHIP, TEACHING AND LEARNING EXCELLENCE
The Immaculata University Center for Advancement in Scholarship, Teaching and Learning Excellence (CASTLE) is a resource hub and networking center that empowers faculty at all stages of their careers to pursue excellence in their teaching and to support the development of a learner-centered environment. The center brings faculty together with appropriate and helpful resources in its mission to become a vibrant hub of faculty exploration, training and research in teaching practices and student learning.
Goals and Objectives
Three overriding goals provide vision and focus to the activities of the CASTLE. These goals are to:
Enrich, facilitate, and foster teaching effectiveness to maximize student learning and engagement.
Provide consultation to faculty and foster collaboration among faculty in support of individual professional career development.
Highlight and celebrate faculty innovations and teaching.

Workshop: Planning for Writing Intensive Courses

Led by Dr. Melanie Kisthardt from the English/Communication Department, the workshop will focus on creating writing assignments to measure student learning of course content. We will review sample assignments in multiple disciplines appropriate to the attendees.

Offered by the Office of Sponsored Research, the Office of Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations, and the Office of Strategic Initiatives
