Preparing for construction; University approved
Immaculata University's new Student Center, designed by STV Architects, will feature a beautiful stone exterior, emulating the heritage of the campus. The facility will be connected to Alumnae Hall and will be approximately 87,000 square feet. Some of the features of this new Student Center include:
- Dining area (seating for 480)
- Commons area with fireplace (seating for 300)
- Retail food store with pizza oven
- Quiet room with fireplace
- Coffee bar with Internet access
- Game room
- Fitness room
- Recital space
- Mail Room
- Student Activity Spaces
The marquee-style dining venue in the new Student Center will be a prime destination for students, visitors, faculty, and staff to come and socialize while they dine on freshly prepared food. Each food station will have the flexibility to serve alternative needs. Chefs shall also be situated out front and on display as they prepare customers' food. The invigorating decor inside the dining hall will include vibrant colors, lots of natural lighting, and an array of different seating styles.
Immaculata University's new Student Center is also pursuing a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Certification and will become the first LEED building on campus. In support of this mission, a portion of the Student Center shall also feature a green roof with beautiful foliage.
