Financial Management Program
The Bachelor of Arts in Financial Management combines economics and accounting expertise to prepare professionals in the financial arena for responsible positions in financial management.
Liberal arts courses and a thorough understanding of economic principles and accounting practices provide students with:
- Analytical thinking, scientific investigation, and computer skills
- Communication skills through speaking, writing, and the use of technology
- Decision-making skills based on the ethical, social, and legal requirements of financial analysis and management
- An understanding of how the economy works and how it affects the financial health of a firm
- Mastery of general accounting principles necessary for financial management
- An understanding of the financing and investing activities of an organization
- Knowledge of banking and financial institutions and the role of money and capital markets
- Competency in dealing with changes in financial markets and in communicating a company’s performance
Degree Requirements
- Completion of 126 semester hours accepted by Immaculata University
- Completion of 54 credit hours in the Financial Management course sequence
- A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
