HED 731 Best Practices in College Teaching & Learning (3 credits)

Dates: June 8-10, 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.

In this course you will explore and engage in research-based best practices in 21st century learning-centered pedagogies applicable in face-to-face, hybrid, and online delivery models. Theoretical foundations will be demonstrated through practical application

 

HED 732 Evaluation & Assessment in College Teaching (3 credits)

Dates: June 22-24, 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.

Dr. Witt

You will learn current models of student outcomes assessment and how to use the results to increase student learning and educational effectiveness. Practical application will include designing a comprehensive assessment plan for your course/program.

 

Summer Institute II:

Comprehensive Assessment in Higher Education Certificate

HED 755 Program and Institutional Evaluation (3 credits)

Dates: July 13-15, 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.

Dr. Sewell

You will gain the knowledge and skills needed to create a culture of learning for an institution of higher education. You will engage in strategic planning for program and institutional research and assessment. Topics will include developing clear outcomes, selecting reliable instrumentation, conducting data collection, creating feedback loops, and engaging all constituencies for continuous improvement based on assessment results.
