Christine Baeza has had an extensive 20+ year career in the fashion & textile industry. After earning her degree in fashion and textile design in 1991, she began a career and quickly moved into the position of creative director for one of the largest sock manufacturers in the USA. This position allowed her to travel all over the world, working with top companies such as Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Adidas and Nordstrom. Recently she was the director of brand management for a sock company managing the Dockers and Nautica brands. This career allowed her to manage creative teams in the U.S. and Costa Rica.
An expert in her field, Baeza is known for her technical aptitude, creative vision, business savvy and mentorship of those who work for and with her. She is a proven leader, with a demonstrated ability to manage creative people as well as business processes. Her passion for sustainable production and products were introduced into the various lines she created for major brands such as Adidas and Tommy Hilfiger. She has expanded design departments and streamlined the creative process at the companies for which she has worked.
In addition to her positions in the in the industry, Baeza has been an adjunct professor at Philadelphia University teaching design management and will soon be graduating with her master’s in leadership development from Pennsylvania State University.
Baeza has also served as an advisor and board member of several non-profit organizations. Most recently, she was involved with Community Partnership of Akuapim South in Ghana, which empowers women and the local economy through education, microfinance, savings and training.
