April Letter to Graduates - 2013 Commencement
April 15, 2013
Dear Graduate,
In just a few short weeks you will be walking across the stage to receive your diploma from Immaculata University. The Administration, Faculty and Staff are all anxiously waiting to congratulate you on this wonderful accomplishment. As of today, our records indicate that your response is as follows for attending commencement:
“your commencement response here”
I want to remind those of you who have not returned/submitted your Commencement Response Card to the Vice President for Student Development & Engagement Office to please do so immediately at www.immaculata.edu/commencement or contact Tracey Jester at 610-647-4400, x3111 or tjester@immaculata.edu to inform her as to whether or not you will be participating in the ceremonies. If we do not have confirmation from you prior to Friday April 26, 2013 we will presume that you will not be participating. We will not place you on the seating chart and your diploma will not be on stage.
Rehearsal will take place on campus in Alumnae Hall Theater on the grounds of Immaculata University. Students do not need to wear academic attire for rehearsal. Students should report for rehearsal no later than 5:45 p.m. on May 7, 2013. If you have any outstanding holds on your account, representatives from the Business Office, Financial Aid and the Library will be on site to assist you. I would ask that you please try to have all holds removed prior to rehearsal. Those students who have a hold on their account will not receive their tickets for the ceremony until all holds have been cleared.
I am pleased to announce that each graduate will receive (4) tickets for under the tent. Only guests with tickets will be admitted to the tent area. Additional viewing rooms, located in Good Counsel, will be available. Guests will be able to sit, listen, and view the entire ceremony in these rooms. Ushers will be on site to direct guests to these rooms.
You will receive your tickets at rehearsal. THERE ARE NO EXTRA TICKETS FOR GRADUATES. Please do not contact us to request additional tickets as we are unable to honor such requests. If you do not need your allotted tickets, or are looking for extra tickets you should make exchange arrangements amongst your fellow graduates. Student Development and Engagement and Academic Affairs will not be providing tickets beyond the number indicated above. Lost and/or misplaced tickets will not be replaced. It is your responsibility to retain your tickets in a safe and secure location.
I wish you all the best as you prepare for this special day. I look forward to seeing you at rehearsal on May 7, 2013 and especially as you walk across the stage at commencement on May 19, 2013.
Sincerely,
Stephen J. Pugliese, Ph.D.
Vice President for Student Development & Engagement
