Non-Traditional Students' Week: November 2-8




You and your family are invited to campus for the College of LifeLong Learning Family Tailgate and Basketball Bash on November 15. Join us for a free cookout, moonbounce for the kids, and tickets to the IU vs. Rowan Women’s Basketball Game. This is a great time for you to visit your Immaculata campus and to introduce your family to IU. The cookout will be held out-of-doors but under the cover of the Villa Maria Hall porch overlooking the lovely back campus from 11-1. The Game starts at 1 p.m. in the Gymnasium of Alumnae Hall. Wear blue and white or stop by the bookstore to add new Immaculata gear to your wardrobe. Click here to RSVP by November 11, 2014.

CLL appreciates our non-traditional adult students and the many challenges they face as they balance the responsibilities of work, school and family. Please share your story in this year’s Essay Contest by answering: What obstacle have you met as an adult student and how have you overcome it? (approximately 250 words).

  • 1st prize—$250
  • 2nd prize—$150
  • 3rd prize—$100

Submit your essay to by November 25. Your story may provide the inspiration and encouragement someone else needs to overcome obstacles in their own life. Winners will be announced by the 2nd week of December and the essays published on the CLL Current Students page of the IU website. The Essay Contest is sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Students.
