Nazareth Dining Hall: Entry Way Renovation
National higher education experts have begun to recognize that a major portion of any student’s learning process actually occurs outside of traditional classrooms, especially in more intimate social spaces or niches where small groups tend to informally gather. As a continuation of the interior facelift that Nazareth Dining Hall received in 2010, Immaculata University recently sought to enhance the image of the entry way to the Nazareth Dining Hall, while simultaneously fostering additional lounging areas for student interactions. Soft seating with wheels for mobility was positioned inside and outside the Dining Hall. New glass doorways etched with the University logo were installed and graced with hanging pennants. Additionally, colorful new flooring in the hallway complements the dining hall’s interior decor, and bright new light fixtures, five community bulletin boards, and two giant flat-screen televisions have helped to invigorate this campus gathering spot.
