Loyola Hall & Good Counsel Hall Classrooms
Available in varying sizes and configurations, the classrooms in Loyola Hall are perfect for smaller meetings, lectures, and seminars. A recent renovation gave the building a fresh, modern feel and several of the classrooms now feature "smart podiums," a very effective and convenient means of incorporating multi-media applications into the classroom. Using the podiums, a speaker has access to a computer with Internet access, a VCR, a DVD player and the ability to connect a laptop or USB flash drive to project the images onto the screen for students to view.
With large, wall mounted screens and speakers, the room truly becomes an interactive “smart room,” which allows professors or students to incorporate several different types of audio and visual aides into their presentations. Having access to this type of technology in the classroom greatly enhances the learning environment. There are 35 smart rooms on campus, with more planned in the future.
