Extend your education by participating in events and activities, forging friendships, learning from varied backgrounds, and getting leadership experience that you can put on your résumé with pride.

You’ll hear it from IU students over and over—get involved! Whether you are a commuter or a resident student, you can choose from over 30 groups to join. Participate in a club or organization focused on academics, advocacy, social activities, cultures, media, arts, professional development, leadership, spirituality, or service. Practice your leadership skills by participating in student government or by applying for an official student leadership role.

Have an idea for a group IU doesn’t currently offer? Form a new one! We encourage our students to take initiative and gain leadership experience by starting something new.
