www.pmci.unimelb.edu.au - I like this site because it explains in lay-mans terms what exactly
Biotechnology is and how it is applied to everyday life.  It basically breaks down the reason why 
people use Biotechnology as opposed to other forms of science and medicine.  This website
also clearly explains how scientists combine science with biology to better their work.

http://www.cytochemistry.net/Cell-biology/ - This website is not exactly about Bioinformatics, but
it does cover information about cells, mitochondria, microtubules, as well as other important 
topics related to biology and chemistry.  In a way, this website is in fact about Biotechnology.  It
is very interesting and worth while to check out.
