Tuition Remission

Tuition waivers in the undergraduate level are granted to all full-time employees, their dependent children (ages 18 and not having reached the age of 24), and spouses. The tuition benefit is available one year from the date of hire. Comprehensive tuition is only up to 18 credits per semester. Over 18 credits in a semester will result in a per-credit charge, which is not a covered benefit.

Tuition Exchange Program and the Council of Independent Colleges Tuition Exchange Program

The Tuition Exchange Program (TE) and CIC-TEP are two separate networks of colleges and universities, of which Immaculata is a member, awarding scholarships to students of families of full-time employees. Employees are eligible to apply for these scholarships after one year of full-time service.  Scholarships are not guaranteed.

Employees who have reached the age of 21 and are U.S. citizens are eligible to participate in this voluntary contribution program at any time.  One year after date of hire, participation is required in the mandatory program for all full-time employees working 35 or more hours per week.  The minimum mandatory employee contribution is 3%. The maximum employee pre-tax contribution is subject to federal guidelines and changes according to years of service, age, and current laws. The University contributes 5% of the employee’s annual base salary toward the mandatory plan.  Employees are permitted to enroll in the mandatory plan at time of hire if they have an existing 403(b) plan.
