On Thursday, April 7, 2016 the Office of Sponsored Research hosted Posters Under the Dome, an annual event showcasing student research. The Villa Maria Rotunda, halls, and Green Room were filled with students, faculty, and other Immaculata community members celebrating the continuing tradition of research at Immaculata University. Sixty-six presenters displayed their research. This year featured nine graduate and 57 undergraduate student participants presenting 42 posters.

Students represented the departments of Graduate Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Education, Fashion/Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Movement Sciences, Math and Information Digital Systems, Music, Music Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Philosophy, and Psychology. The display of independent research for students is an important part of learning, and being able to present the culmination of their work in this format allowed students to take ownership of their hard work. Students also took the opportunity to share their research with students in other disciplines, which brought a new element to this day!
