Undecided/Exploratory Studies

Exploratory Studies

The goal of the Exploratory Studies Program is to provide you with the tools and the direction to find the major that is just right for you.  At Immaculata University, we want you to find the path that is best suited to your needs.

If you have not yet declared a major, you will be assigned to an advisor for undecided students in the Exploratory Studies Program. With strong academic advisement at the core of your search for the right academic program, the Exploratory Studies Program will provide a number of resources and activities to help put you on the path to success in your future career.
  • Select courses and explore possible majors with guidance from your advisor.
  • Participate in major/minor fairs and get information about Immaculata's academic departments.
  • Attend a "Get Acquainted" pizza party with advisors
  • Receove regular exploratory studies e-mail tips
  • Learn about career exploration in the fall semester First Year Experience program
  • Take the career planning course as an elective in the spring semester
  • Meet with career counselors, take career assessments, and look at externships through the Office of Career Development.

Three tracks are available to exploratory studies majors, which will enable you to complete general liberal arts core requirements while preparing for majors within the following areas:
