Undecided: Exploring Your Options

You are here

If you have not yet declared a major, you will be assigned to an advisor for undecided students in the Office of Academic Advisement, who will provide you with the tools and the direction to find the major that is just right for you. With strong academic advisement at the core of your search, advisors will provide resources and activities to help put you on the path to success in your future career. As an undecided student you will:

  • Select courses and explore possible majors with guidance from your advisor.
  • Participate in major/minor workshops and get information about Immaculata's academic departments.
  • Attend an Undecided Major meeting with the offices of Academic Advisement and Career and Professional Development.
  • Learn about career exploration in the fall semester First Year Experience (FYE) program
  • Meet with career counselors, take career assessments, and look at Xternships through the Office of Career and Professional Development.

Two tracks are available to Undecided Majors, which will enable you to complete general liberal arts core requirements while preparing for majors within the following areas:

  • Professional Studies Core
  • Arts and Sciences Core
