Theology Minor
Since “theology plays a particularly important role in the search for a synthesis of knowledge as well as in the dialogue between faith and reason” (Ex Corde Ecclesiae, no. 19), the best preparation for a fully human personal and professional life is a Christian liberal arts education, which includes an opportunity for students to adequately understand and appreciate the depth and richness of the Catholic intellectual and spiritual tradition. A minor in theology provides this opportunity.
Requirements
The theology minor consists of 18 credit hours with an average grade of a B. Choose six elective credits from the Theology Department course offerings, and four courses (12 credits) from the following:
-
THE 222 Faith Alive: Catholic Belief and Practice
-
THE 306 Sacraments: The Church at Prayer
-
THE 109 Introduction to Theology
-
THE 110 Introduction to Sacred Scripture
-
THE 218 Introduction to Christian Ethics
