Mallari graduated from West Chester University with a master’s degree in violin and viola. He is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, a coalition that is interested in making music education available to all children.

He participated in the Philadelphia National Symphony's tour of China from 2011 to 2012. His orchestral participation also includes Temple University Symphony Orchestra, West Chester Symphony Orchestra, Lower Merion Symphony, and Pottstown Symphony Orchestra. His chamber music activities include numerous string trios, string quartets, guitar quintets, and piano quintets. He earned a chamber music diploma from ChamberArt Festival in Madrid, Spain, and he was a national finalist in the 2009 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Young Artist Division.
