Bio: 

The music of saxophonist/composer Leonardo Dugan seeks to fuse classical and jazz forms in new and exciting ways.  A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's doctoral program in composition, he has been commissioned by the Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestra 2001, Piano4, and others. He has recently premiered his jazz compositions Proof Rock and Tam Lin with his quartet at the Lincoln Center and at Shelter Island, NY at a concert sponsored and attended by violinist Itzhak Perlman.  At Immaculata, Dr. Dugan teaches theory, saxophone, jazz improvisation, and composition, and he directs the Jazz and Saxophone Ensembles.
