Careers in Biology
Immaculata biology majors are prepared for technical positions in academic, industrial, government research and quality control laboratories, and field stations. Biology majors who also develop good writing skills expand their opportunities for careers, such as work in scientific publishing and abstracting. Biology graduates with teaching certification find excellent positions in public and private high schools.
The biology programs also provide excellent training for students intending to continue their studies in graduate and professional schools in preparation for entering the ranks of the top professions of professors, principal investigators, physicians, veterinarians, etc.
Salary Ranges
Graduates of our programs can expect $30,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on field of entry. With additional graduate or professional education, the top end of the range can be extended considerably.
