The Department of Physical Education & Exercise Science is excited to partner with Thomas Jefferson University School of Health Professions for programs in physical therapy and occupational therapy. Admission into the partnership program requires dual acceptance through an interview process and specific guidelines set forth by both universities.
Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) Program
In this program students can earn both the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) degrees in six years after graduation from high school. Students will spend the first three years at Immaculata University and then proceed to Jefferson College of Health Professions for the final three years of graduate physical therapy coursework.
The B.S. in Exercise Science will be awarded after successful completion of the first year at Jefferson College of Health Professions. The D.P.T. degree from Thomas Jefferson University will be awarded after successful completion of the third year at Jefferson College of Health Professions. Course Sequence Sheet
Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (M.S.O.T.) Program
In this program students can earn both the Bachelor of Science and the Master of Science in occupational therapy degrees in five years after graduation from high school. Students will spend the first three years at Immaculata University and then proceed to Jefferson College of Health Professions for the final two years of undergraduate and graduate occupational therapy coursework.
The baccalaureate degree from Immaculata University will be awarded after successful completion of the first year at Jefferson College of Health Professions. The master’s in occupational therapy degree from Thomas Jefferson University will be awarded after successful completion of the third year at Jefferson College of Health Professions.
