Core Curriculum
You might be wondering, “What other courses do I take besides the classes in my major?" If you are pursuing a bachelor's degree, you'll also complete coursework in Immaculata's liberal arts core curriculum.
There are two tracks of study in the core curriculum, Arts & Sciences or Professional Studies, and the track you follow will depend on your major. The majors and the courses in their tracks are listed below along with number of credits and subject areas.
Liberal Arts Core: Arts and Sciences
Includes: Chemistry, English/Communication, Global Languages and Literature (except International Business Foreign Language), History/Political Science/International Relations, Psychology (except Biology/Psychology), Sociology/Criminology, and Theology.
If you are pursuing secondary certification in any of the above majors, you will follow the Professional Studies Core. If you are completing a B.A. in Mathematics, you will follow the Arts and Sciences Core.
