Health Care Management B.S.
The health care industry is changing more rapidly than almost any other segment of the U.S. economy. The Bureau of Labor statistics predicts that employment of medical and health service managers will increase 22% from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations.
The United States’ rapidly aging population and massive proposed changes in federal health care reform are contributing to the high demand for health care management jobs. These individuals must be able to work closely with medical staff to plan, direct, and coordinate the delivery of health care.
The Health Care Management program helps enhance the management skills of both current health care professionals and individuals who seek to transition into the health care industry.

Program Outcomes
After completing this program, you will be able to:
- Recognize the complexities of health care systems, including factors that influence health care outcomes, delivery modalities, performance, and growth in health care resources
- Demonstrate awareness of the legal, regulatory, and ethical issues within health care and how they impact providers, policies, and institutional practices in multifaceted and diverse organizational environments
- Use various information technologies to access and manage information in health care settings
- Conduct financial management processes for budgetary operations at various levels within a health care operation
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the management of health care delivery and patient services
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Recognize the qualitative and quantitative factors involved in the management of health care delivery and outcomes
- Utilize organizational data to plan strategically effective outcomes and tactical and operational issues in the management of health care
- Interpret research methodology for reliability and analysis of outcomes
