Assessment of student learning is the systematic process through which faculty members articulate learning outcomes for their students, measure students' progress toward meeting those outcomes, and use this information to improve their own courses and programs.
Assessment for student learning is a core value and ongoing activity at Immaculata. The primary purpose of assessment is to create an environment that promotes educational excellence through evidence-based dialogue about academic programs and services. A variety of activities and processes at the university-wide, college, departmental and individual unit levels reflect this commitment.
