Orientation - Overview

Since its beginnings in 1996, the ACCEL® program has offered orientation sessions for new adjunct faculty. The orientations, offered by the Office of Curriculum Development and Support, provide an introduction to Immaculata’s procedural and policy expectations for instructors.

The orientation program is delivered in two phases:

  • The Pre-orientation is an online, voice-guided PowerPoint that introduces the instructor to the Immaculata University mission and the ACCEL® program. Instructors should complete this prior to the second phase: the Orientation.
  • The Orientation covers University policies and procedures as well as assists instructors with the completion of required paperwork. These scheduled sessions are normally held in-person in the Curriculum Development and Support Office or via telephone during regular business hours at your convenience.
  • Please contact the Office of Curriculum Development and Support for additional information and to schedule your Orientation session.

New instructors are reminded that the Orientation is a requirement for all ACCEL® instructors and does not apply to instructors teaching for the College of Undergraduate Studies (CUS). Adjunct instructors teaching for the College of Undergraduate Studies should contact their individual departments for more information.
