Students interested in Immaculata's Music program are required to complete an audition The purpose of this audition is to
- allow students the opportunity to share with faculty their interests and goals and to demonstrate the level of musical talent and accomplishment they have reached in their performance area(s);
- provide students with the opportunity to learn more about music degree programs, requirements and options;
- provide an informal session in which meet faculty and students and learn firsthand about the department, its programs and music facilities.
An important consequence of the audition experience is the opportunity to qualify for a music talent award. These renewable financial awards are made to a number of students who demonstrate a high level of performance ability and achievement and show promise of continuing development of musical and academic potential.
