POST-DOC OPPORTUNITY AMERICAN SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY The Correctional Psychology Training Program at Dixon Correctional Center is currently seeking applicants to fill a Post-Doctoral Residency position for the 2008-2009 training year. Dixon Correctional Center (DCC) is the primary mental health facility for the Illinois Department of Corrections. This all adult-male prison is quite diverse regarding ethnicity, culture, religion, education, medical and mental health needs. The Post Doctoral Resident will participate in two distinct six month training rotations at this facility and will be expected to provide formal supervision of interns and practicum students, conduct group therapy, individual therapy and crisis intervention; provide psychological screening of offenders; provide psychological testing; and conduct training sessions or workshops on topics related to mental health for facility staff.
