Welcome
Immaculata University’s Education Department offers a major in Education that is aligned with Pennsylvania certifications in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education.
The Department also offers a certification-only program (for students with a degree in another area). At the Secondary level (K-12 or 7-12), students must complete a major in the specific content area of certification along with the required education courses.
Field experiences are provided in pre-schools, elementary, middle, and senior high schools, special education and urban settings. A culminating full-time student teaching experience is guided by university staff in cooperation with local school personnel.
