Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.)
The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership is a professional degree that focuses on the preparation of educational leaders who must confront and adapt to everyday situations encountered in the complex and ever-changing life of the school setting. Therefore, the program is build not only upon a theoretical and research base, but also upon an experiential understanding of pedagogy and administrative practice.
Goals of the Program
- To seek educational improvement in the workplace through an integrated, rigorous preparation of educational leaders who study on a part-time basis.
- To prepare educational leaders who have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to apply research theory and professional experience to the solution of educational problems.
- To support educational leaders in their efforts to become skilled in systematic inquiry, deliberate reflection, and focused action.
- To provide an integrated curriculum which serves as a framework for integrating the student's life experience and visions.
