Student Affairs Projects

Faculty/Staff Proposal Steps

  1. Preliminary discussion with vice president for institutional advancement for institution-wide projects or Sister Marie Anselm Cooper for departmental projects and individual faculty research.
  2. Submit a one- to two-page abstract of project to Sister Marie Cooper. The abstract should include:
    • rationale for the project,
    • goals,
    • budget and timelines.

    A copy of the abstract accompanied by the cover sheet (PDF file adobe reader icon) will be submitted to vice president for student affairs for consideration. The fwill send the abstract to Sister Patricia Fadden for final approval.

  3. After approval, write the proposal. The Office of Institutional Advancement or the Office of Sponsored Research will assist in preparation and in finalizing the proposal and targeting prospective donors.

  4. Submit the proposal on disk to Sister Marie Cooper for final editing and typing.
  5. Decide on funding sources.
  6. Proposal distribution by Office of Institutional Advancement and/or Office of Sponsored Research.
  7. Follow-up by Office of Institutional Advancement or Office of Sponsored Research for decisions of additional funding sources.
  8. Ongoing communication with faculty/staff member.
