Mission Statement

The Writing Center at Immaculata University is focused on enhancing the writing skills of Immaculata students. Our goal is to help writers across the disciplines in all stages of the writing process, including planning, drafting, and revising. We offer a pleasant and supportive environment where Writing Assistants as well as both print and electronic resources are available. Our one-on-one Writing Sessions provide students with the tools necessary to become more confident and effective writers.

Philosophy

Writing is a key component of the academic process. Learning to think, speak, read and write critically is the goal of most students in higher learning. By diligently working on their writing process in college, students can gain the writing skills essential to many careers that are offered in the world today. Students will be ready to apply their writing knowledge to both the workplace and their daily lives.
