Meet the 2008 NSO Student Chairs

NSO Chair

Tara Huber '09

Hello everyone! I am presently a junior at Immaculata University majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education, with a Secondary Teaching Certification. For those of you who don’t know, Family and Consumer Sciences, (FCS), is what many of you would consider Home Economics, but so much more! I will be student teaching in the fall at Downingtown High School East. This is my first year as Chair of New Student Orientation, but I have been a student leader for NSO for the last 2 years. It is always a blast and I am looking forward to another fun and exciting group. In addition to NSO Chair, I am the Chair of Immaculata University’s Programming Board. That means I organize a group of student leaders who plan and run most of the events on campus, from dances to trips. In my spare time, I do work study for the Foods, Fashion, and Nutrition department. When I am not busy with school and able to enjoy quality time at home in New Jersey, I am a volunteer firefighter and appreciate spending time with my friends and family! Enjoy your last year of high school, and good luck with graduation! I look forward to meeting all of you at NSO 2008!

NSO Co-Chairs

Joseph Slavick, '09

Hey Everyone! I am presently a junior at Immaculata University majoring in Marketing Management. This will be my second year as a New Student Orientation co-chair, and I am enjoying every moment of it. Along with NSO, I am a Resident Assistant as well as Vice President of the Class of 2009. I also play on the Men’s Basketball team and work in the Athletic Department. Sometimes I will travel home to Northeast Pennsylvania, where I enjoy kicking back and relaxing with my friends and family. I hope you are ready for this summer and to become part of Immaculata.

Angel Sabatini, '09

Hello! I’m Angelina though most people call me Angel for short. I am currently a junior at Immaculata University majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business. This New Student Orientation will be my third in participation but my second as co-chair. NSO is a large part of my college career, where I am able to work with new people; the experience is priceless. I stay involved on campus with Greek Life, Yearbook, Programming Board, and working in the Department of Institutional Advancement. When my time is not spent at Immaculata I am normally at work, at two local restaurants. The free time I have is spent with my family, friends, attending concerts and sporting events. All those things aside I am excited to meet you personally. Best wishes on graduation and I am anticipating your arrival at Immaculata’s NSO this summer!
