X-ternship Program

The X-ternship Program is a career experience that offers students the opportunity to observe, shadow, and network with employers in their own area of study. This program occurs once a year, the last week of February.

Free on-line self-assessments are available and located under assessment tools.  These assessment tools examine values, interests and skills.  In addition, it will give you information on searching for occupations related to different majors.

Individual Career Development Assistance — Appointments  may be scheduled to discuss career issues including career interests and job search strategies.

College Central Network — This on-line full-time and part time job postings and resume databases are accessible from any computer on campus: www.collegecentral.com/immaculata

Workshops — Workshop topics include resume writing, interview preparation, choosing a major, job search techniques, acquiring an internship, and planning for graduate school.

Job Leads — Notebooks and an online database of current full-time, part-time and summer employment opportunities are maintained year-round.

Career Library — Updated information is available on resume writing, interview skills, job opportunities, employment publications, and graduate school.

Career Fair — Immaculata participates in a variety of off-site career fairs with other colleges and sponsors two career fairs a year on-campus. Contact the Office of Career Services for an updated listing.

On-Campus Recruitment — Students may sign up to interview with recruiters from various companies.

Immaculata XTERN Professional Mentoring Program — This is an opportunity for students to gain exposure to the world of work by observing and talking with a successful career person.

Internships — Completing an internship significantly increases your marketability after graduation because it allows you to apply your education, explore a possible career, network with professionals, learn new skills, and build your resume.  Come by and review the current internship opportunities.
