How to Use a Career Fair

- Look through the list of companies. Mark the ones that are appropriate for your skills, interests and majors.
- Find the organization's table, introduce yourself to the representative and ask questions. Use your speech.
- If an organization interests you, but you don't have the "right" major, talk to the representative anyway. Experience, for example, counts as much as a major and self-confidence counts a lot. "Sell yourself."
- Pick up literature from each organization you visit, take good notes between interviews. Be sure to pick up a business card.
- Follow up with a letter to any contacts you made today.
- Follow up the letter with a phone call.
- Learn as much as you can.
