Trailing 2-0, junior Alyssa Drescher recorded an unassisted goal at 63:03 to pull the Mighty Macs within 2-1. But the Phoenix tightened their defense down the stretch to preserve the 2-1 victory. Laura Rosenkranse scored the first goal of the contest at 13:30, while Jennifer Huseman tallied the eventual game-winner at 59:23.
Junior Bridget Dougherty registered four saves, while Nikola Grafnettervoa collected two for Wilson.
The Phoenix outshot the Mighty Macs 8-6 and held a 13-5 advantage in corners.

The Cavaliers outshot Immaculata 17-7 and held a 13-4 advantage in corners.

Junior Anastasia Likanchuk scored the lone goal for the Mighty Macs off an assist from junior Alyssa Drescher at 59:00. Tori Geppert scored the first goal of the game off a pass from Erin Reddy at 21:20. The Griffins took a 2-0 lead into intermission.

The Bulldogs scored eight straight goals, before freshman Lauren Bigos connected off a penalty corner at 19:55 to put the Mighty Macs on the board. Freshman Kathleen Garrity assisted on that goal. DeSales took an 8-1 lead into intermission. Sophomore Caitlin Brennan recorded the second goal for the Mighty Macs off an assist from freshman Diana Sulecki at 53:41.

Sophomore Caitlin Brennan scored the only goal for the Mighty Macs at 13:08 off an assist from junior Alyssa Drescher. The Knights' Abby Frymire tied the game at 1-1 off a pass from Joanna Born at 21:25. Beth Harris recorded the game-winner at 26:29 as Arcadia took a 2-1 lead into intermission. Liz McCormick assisted on that goal.

Immaculata Storms Past The Ramblers
Immaculata University women's field hockey team cruised past Rosemont College 6-0, in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Thursday, September 27, in Rosemont, PA.
Sophomore Alyssa Drescher started the offensive onslaught with a tally at 7:40 off an assist from junior Anastasia Likanchuk. Likanchuk followed her assist with an unassisted goal at 39:09. Sophomore Caitlin Brennan added a goal at 42:47 off a pass from Drescher.
Likanchuk collected her second goal of the game off an assist from Brennan at 43:43, while freshman Diana Sulecki registered her first career goal at 53:41. Junior Jenn Norris assisted on that goal. Junior Alyssa Guarini's goal at 68:48 closed the scoring for Immaculata.
Junior Bridget Dougherty totaled four saves for the Mighty Macs, as Immaculata outshot Rosemont 51-10. The Mighty Macs (2-7, 2-3 PAC) also held a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Delaware Valley Stops The Mighty Macs
Immaculata University women's field hockey team dropped a 5-2 decision to Delaware Valley College 5-2, in non-conference action on Tuesday, September 25, at Draper Walsh Stadium.
Michelle Cernobyl put the Aggies (7-2) on the board first with a goal at 13:23. Immaculata tied the game at 1-1 when junior Anastasia Likanchuk redirected a shot from fellow junior Jenn Norris at 23:26. Del Val added one more before the end of the first half when Cernobyl registered her second goal (unassisted) of the afternoon.
Bethany Pavlik recorded the eventual game-winner at 37:48 off an assist from Danielle Heyne. The Mighty Macs pulled with one goal (3-2) at 54:45 off an unassisted goal by freshman Lauren Bigos, but Pavlik scored again at 55:50 to push the margin up to two. Heyne added the fifth goal for Del Val at 61:47.

Rachel Dicco scored the only goal of the game unassisted at 20:15. Sophomores Anastasia Likanchuk and Caitlin Brennan each totaled three shots in the loss.
Junior Bridget Dougherty collected 11 saves in the net for the Mighty Macs, while Chelsea Ward recorded six saves. The Knights (4-4, 2-0 PAC) outshot Immaculata 24-8 and held a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Mighty Macs Earn First Win Of The Season
Junior Anastasia Likanchuk recorded a hat trick as Immaculata University shutdown Cedar Crest College 8-0 in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Thursday, September 21, in Allentown, PA.
It was the first career win for new head coach Stacy Mengel.
Freshman Lauren Bigos scored the game-winner off an assist from junior Alyssa Guarini at 9:27. Guarini added her second assist on freshman Kathleen Garrity's goal at 27:27. Likanchuk scored the next three goals, all unassisted, at 32:13, 34:00 and 36:72, before sophomore Alyssa Drescher tallied a goal at 39:18.
Drescher added an assist on sophomore Caitlin Brennan's goal at 48:18. Junior Jenn Norris registered an un assisted goal at 52:38 to close the scoring for the Mighty Macs.
Junior Bridget Dougherty amassed two saves and recorded the shutout. Rachel Orlen amassed 11 saves for the Falcons (0-7, 0-3 PAC).

Immaculata University women's field hockey team fell to Haverford College 3-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday, September 18, in Haverford, Pennsylvania.
Colin Farrell paced the Fords with two goals and one assist. She assisted on Sara Walker's game-winner. Junior Bridget Dougherty amassed 13 saves in the net for the Mighty Macs (0-5).
Haverford outshot Immaculata 24-2 and held a 13-3 advantage in corners.

Jamie Heck scored the game-winner for the Eagles (5-1, 3-0 PAC) off an assist from Olivia Derr at 7:19. Sophomore Bridget Dougherty recorded 16 saves in the cage for the Mighty Macs (0-4, 0-2).

Albright Slips Past Immaculata
Immaculata University field hockey team fell to Albright College 6-3 in non-conference action on Wednesday, September 12, in Reading, Pennsylvania.
The Mighty Macs (0-3) scored first as freshman Kathleen Garrity scored off an assist from junior Jenn Norris at 2:30 of the first half. The Lions answered with three straight goals, before freshman Lauren Bigos tallied her first goal of the evening at 27:27. Norris recorded her second assist of the game on that tally. Bigos posted her second goal of the contest at 52:36 to pull Immaculata within 5-3. But the Lions held off the Mighty Macs and collected a 6-3 victory.
Junior Bridget Dougherty amassed 16 saves, as Albright outshot Immaculata 32-4.

Mighty Macs Fall In Conference Opener
Immaculata University women's field hockey team fell to Misericordia University 5-0, on Saturday, September 8, in Dallas, Pennsylvania. It was the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) opener for both schools.
Juniors Jenn Norris and Anastasia Likanchuk and freshman Lauren Bigos recorded the only shots for the Mighty Macs (0-2, 0-1 PAC).
Junior Bridget Dougherty registered 21 saves for Immaculata, as the Cougars outshot the Mighty Macs 22-3. Misericordia (2-2, 1-0) also held an 11-3 advantage in corners.
Immaculata returns to action on Wednesday, September 12, when they travel to face Albright College. Face-off is set for 6 pm.
Immaculata Drops Season Opener To Rams
Immaculata University women's field hockey team fell to Philadelphia University 12-1 in non-conference action on Wednesday, September 5, at Draper Walsh Stadium. It was the season opener for both squads.
Karen Bloomfield scored the first goal of the game for Philadelphia, as the Rams posted a 7-0 halftime lead. The Mighty Macs tallied their first goal of the season when sophomore Alyssa Drescher found the back of the net off a pass from junior Alyssa Guarini at 42:34.
Junior Bridget Dougherty recorded 13 saves between the pipes for Immaculata.

Mighty Macs Picked To Finish Eighth In Conference
Immaculata University's field hockey team has been selected to finish eighth in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) pre-season poll. The poll was released on Wednesday, August 29, by the conference office in Aston, PA.
The Mighty Macs are slated to place eighth in the 11-team conference
Eastern University was selected as the pre-season favorite. The Knights received six of the 11 first-place votes for a total of 116 points to slightly edge out Alvernia College, which received five first-place votes for a total of 115 points.
Misericordia University placed third with 96 points, while Cabrini College and Neumann College tied for fourth place with 83 points. Gwynedd-Mercy College (62), Marywood University (56), Cedar Crest College (32), College of Notre Dame (22), and Rosemont College (14) placed sixth, seventh, ninth, 10th, and 11th respectively.
The Mighty Macs open the 2007 season at home vs. Philadelphia University on Wednesday, September 5. Face-off is set for 4 pm.
Stacy Mengel Named Head Field Hockey Coach
Immaculata University Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Stacy Mengel as the head field hockey coach. Mengel replaces Erin McDonnell, who coached the previous five seasons.
Mengel joins Immaculata after serving as head field hockey coach at Bishop Shanahan High School for two years. Prior to that, she was the assistant field hockey coach at Bishop Shanahan. Mengel also serves as the head coach of the U-16 Vipers Field Hockey Club team.
“I am very excited to coach field hockey at Immaculata,” Mengel explained, “I look forward to working with a talented group of student-athletes and a very supportive administration.”
Prior to her arrival at Bishop Shanahan, Mengel was an assistant coach at Avon Grove High School. She also served as an assistant softball coach at Avon Grove. The 1998 graduate of Lock Haven University, who was a member of the Eagles’ field hockey team for four seasons, was the head coach at Eisenhower Middle School during the 2000 season.
The Mighty Macs finished the 2006 season with a mark of 4-14 overall and a record of 3-8 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC).
