
Patty Canterino
Head Coach
Patty Canterino enters her eighth season as both the Director of Athletics and head coach of the Immaculata University women basketball team. The 2005-06 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Basketball Coach of the Year, led her squad to its second consecutive postseason berth. It marked the third time in the last four years that the Mighty Macs have advanced to the postseason.
Last season, the Mighty Macs recorded an overall mark of 15-11 and placed third in the PAC South Division with a record of 10-6. It was the second consecutive winning season for Immaculata.
Individually, several of Canterino's players earned distinction in 2006-07. Sophomore Dominique Murray, who led the team in scoring (16.5), rebounding (10.7) and blocks (24), was a First Team All-PAC selection and a D3Hoops.com All-Mid Atlantic Region Third Team honoree. She also led the PAC in rebounding. Senior Meg Legere, who was second on the Mighty Macs in scoring (15.9) and rebounding (8.6), became the 16th player in women's basketball history to amass 1,000 career points. She finished her four-year career with 1,241 points, which placed her seventh all-time. For her efforts, Legere was named Second Team All-PAC. She was also the sixth player in Mighty Mac history to collected 1,000 or more points and 700 or more rebounds.
Sophomore Kasey Hicks set a school and career high with 16 assists vs. Eastern University on January 18, 2007. It was the third highest single-game assist total in the NCAA (all three divisions) in 2006-07.
A 1992 graduate of Immaculata, Canterino's coaching background includes stints as an assistant coach at Maria Goretti High School (1994-95) and at Immaculata (1997-98), as well as head coaching positions at Goretti (1995-97) and Archmere Academy (1999-2000).
Canterino was a member of Immaculata's basketball team from 1989-92.
Dave Parker
Assistant Coach
Dave Parker enters his second season as an assistant coach of the Immaculata University women's basketball team.
Parker helped lead the Mighty Macs to a mark of 15-11 overall and 10-6 in the PAC.
Prior to his arrival at Immaculata, Parker spent the past 16 years as the head varsity basketball coach at Villa Marie Academy. Include that with his previous stops and Parker has over 32 years worth of experience at the high school, middle school and AAU levels.
He is a graduate of St. Mary's College in Emitsburg, Maryland.
Parker and his wife, Kathleen, reside in Westtown, Pennsylvania. He has a daughter, Katie, who lives and works in New York City.
Meg Legere
Assistant Coach
Meg Legere enters her first season as an assistant coach of the Immaculata University women's basketball team.
A 2007 graduate of Immaculata Legere was a four-year member of the women's basketball team. She became the 16th women's basketball player in team history to amass 1,000 or more career points. Legere finished her four years with 1,241 career points. She also became the sixth Mighty Mac to record 700 or more rebounds and 1,000 or more career points.
During her career she led Immaculata to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference playoffs three times, including her senior season where they fell to Alvernia College in the quarterfinal round.
