Athletic and Recreational Facilities

The physical education program at Immaculata University emphasizes fitness and lifetime sports. An indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis courts, weight room, softball field, soccer field, and hockey field are available for student use.

The college is a Division III member of the NCAA and belongs to the PAC (Pennsylvania Athletic Conference), which offers excellent competitive opportunities for Immaculata University student-athletes. In addition to offering intercollegiate competition, Immaculata offers exercise classes, intramural sports, and open hours in the gym, pool, and fitness center.

 

Fitness Center Hours (fall 2006)

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: By using this facility, you acknowledge that operating weight machines and exercise equipment can cause injury, and that there are risks associated with exercising and the use of exercise equipment that can cause serious and even fatal injuries.  In consideration of your usage of this facility, you voluntarily assume all of the risks associated with using this facility and any of its equipment and release Immaculata University and persons employed by, or associated with, Immaculata University from any and all liability.

 

 

The fitness center will be open the following times:

Monday - 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Tuesday - 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Wednesday - 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Thursday - 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Friday - 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Saturday - 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Sunday - 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Pool Recreational Hours (fall 2006)

THE POOL WILL BE CLOSED FOR FALL BREAK ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7 AND MONDAY, OCTOBER 8.

The pool will be open the following hours:

Monday - 2 - 10 p.m.

Tuesday - 1 - 10 p.m.

Wednesday - 2 - 10 p.m.

Thursday - 1 - 4 p.m.; 6-10 p.m.

Friday - 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Saturday - closed

Sunday - 2 - 5 p.m.

Gym Use

Immaculata has always allowed our students and staff to use the gyms as long as there were no classes, rental groups, practices, or games scheduled.  Equipment is available for checkout at DeChantal front desk, Security and the athletic office.  Immaculata ID's must be shown upon request.

Open gym hours may vary based upon sporting events, rentals, and other activities within the gymnasium.
