Immaculata Drops Decision To Wesley In Home Finale

 

Immaculata University men's tennis team fell to Wesley College 9-0 in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Friday, April 13, in Immaculata, PA. It was the home finale for the Mighty Macs (0-8, 0-7 PAC).

 

Freshman Nick Tarlecki dropped a 6-4, 5-7, 10-7, decision to Andrew Smyth at #4 singles, while fellow freshman Cordell Fantroy suffered a 6-0, 6-0 loss to Kenneth Reilly at #1 singles.

In double action, the tandem of sophomore Bill Dean and Tarlecki fell to the duo of Jim Ackroyd and Mickey DeSouza, 8-6, at #2 doubles.

 

Immaculata concludes its 2007 campaign at Alvernia College on Saturday, April 14. First-serve is set for 1 pm.

 

Mighty Macs Fall To Chestnut Hill College

 

Immaculata University men's tennis team fell to Chestnut Hill College 7-2, in non-conference action on Wednesday, April 11, in Immaculata, Pennsylvania.

 

Freshman Nick Tarlecki recorded a 7-6 (5), 6-2 victory over Garrett Senior at #3 singles, while the tandem of sophomores Kris Grossi and Andre Brooks registered an 8-1 win over the duo of Reese Brown and David Beltram at #3 doubles.

 

The Mighty Macs (0-7) return to action on Friday, April 13, when they host Wesley College. First serve is set for 4 pm. It is the home season finale for Immaculata.

Immaculata University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Marywood University in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Monday, April 2, in Scranton, PA.

 

Freshman Nick Tarlecki lost a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Kyle McGee at #1 singles, while sophomore Kris Grossi suffered a 6-0, 6-0 loss to Joe Listanski at #2 singles. In doubles action, the tandem of freshmen Cordell Fantroy and Roland Santos lost to Mike Anderson and Listanski 8-2 at #2 doubles.

 

The Mighty Macs (0-6, 0-6 PAC) return to action on Wednesday, April 11, when they host Chestnut Hill College. First serve is set for 3:30 pm.

 

Mighty Macs Fall To Knights At Home

 

Immaculata University men's tennis team fell to Neumann College 7-0, in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Saturday, March 31, in Immaculata, PA.

 

Sophomore Bill Dean lost a 6-2, 6-1 decision to John Slinka at #1 singles, while fellow sophomore Kris Grossi dropped a 6-2, 6-2, match to Matthew Ford at #3 singles. Freshman Nick Tarlecki suffered a 6-2, 6-2 loss to Andrew Bitar at #4 singles.

In doubles action, the tandem of Tarlecki and Dean fell to Dan Harnos and Slinka 8-1 at #1 doubles.

 

The Mighty Macs (0-5, 0-5 PAC) return to action on Monday, April 2, when they travel to face Marywood University. First serve is set for 3:30 pm.

Immaculata University men's tennis team fell to Gwynedd-Mercy College 7-0, in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Thursday, March 29, in Gwynedd-Valley, PA.

 

Freshman Nick Tarlecki dropped a 6-2, 6-0, decision to Chris Balicki at #2 singles, while sophomore Kris Grossi lost a tough 6-4, 6-2, match to Erik Potemski at #3 singles. In doubles action, the tandem of Bill Dean and Nick Tarlecki suffered an 8-2 loss at #1 doubles, while freshman Cordell Fantroy and Grossi lost 8-1 at #2 doubles.

The Mighty Macs (0-4, 0-4 PAC) return to action on Saturday, March 31, when they host Neumann College. First serve is set for 1 pm.

Immaculata University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Cabrini College in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Tuesday, March 27, in Immaculata, PA.

 

Sophomore Kris Grossi fell to Justin Walsh 6-1, 6-0 at #2 singles, while Nick Tarlecki suffered a 6-0, 6-0 loss to Matt Ingram at #1 singles. In his first appearance of the season, sophomore Lawrence Woods dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision to Duff O'Connor at #6 singles.

 

The Mighty Macs (0-3, 0-3 PAC) return to action on Thursday, March 29, when they travel to face Gwynedd-Mercy College. First serve is set for 4 pm.

Immaculata University Men's Tennis team fell to Alvernia College in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Monday, March 26, in Immaculata, PA. It was the home opener for the Mighty Macs.

 

Sophomore Bill Dean lost a 6-1, 6-0 decision at #3 singles, while freshman Roland Santos dropped a 6-0, 6-2 match at #5 singles. In doubles, the tandem of sophomore Kris Grossi and freshman Nick Tarlecki posted an 8-1 win at #1 doubles.

Immaculata (0-2, 0-2 PAC) returns to action on Tuesday, March 27, when they host Cabrini College. First serve is set for 4 pm.

 

Men's Tennis Falls To Eastern In Season Opener

 

Immaculata University fell to Eastern University 7-0, in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Wednesday, March 21, in St. David's, PA. It was the season opener for the Mighty Macs (0-1).

 

Freshman Nick Tarlecki lost to Nate Seifert at #1 singles 6-0, 6-1, while junior Bill Dean dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to Eric Sauder at #3 singles. The tandem of sophomore Kris Grossi and Tarlecki fell 8-0 at #1 doubles, while the duo of freshman Cordell Fantroy and Dean recorded an 8-0 loss at 32 doubles.

 

Immaculata returns to action on Saturday, March 24, when they host Wesley College in the home opener. First serve is set for 1 pm.

 

Tennis Picked Ninth In Pre-Season Poll

 

Immaculata University's men's team has been selected to finish ninth in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) pre-season poll. The poll was released on Friday, March 16, by the conference office in Aston, PA.

 

Immaculata was slated to finish ninth in the nine-team conference.

 

Marywood was selected as the pre-season favorite. The 2006 champion received seven of the nine first-place votes for a total of 77 points. Cabrini College (71) finished second, while Arcadia University (56) placed third in the pre-season poll.

 

Neumann College (52) was slated to finish fifth, while Alvernia (40) placed sixth. Wesley College (35) and Gwynedd-Mercy College (24) placed seventh and eight, respectively.
