The mission of the Office of Technology Services (OTS)is to provide direction to the University for the implementation of technology across the campus and to support this technology through training, technical assistance, and maintenance. The department takes responsibility for recommending, purchasing, installing and maintaining the necessary hardware and software on the administrative and academic sides of the network.
Standards & Guidelines
Electronic Acceptable Use Policy - This policy includes permissible uses of Immaculata electronic mail and outlines specific restrictions on the use of all University electronic resources, including web pages, networks, and electronic mail. Additional polices which apply to students and web electronic publications are also outlined.
Intellectual Property - Immaculata University administers and adheres to established polices and procedures regarding Intellectual Property. These policies and procedures encompass all works created and/ or produced by faculty, staff, and students associated with Immaculata University in the use of University funds, facilities, and/ or other resources. Password Security Standard - All students, faculty, and staff are required to change their network passwords on a regular basis. This standard provides guidelines for requesting network accounts, selecting passwords and changing passwords.
Residential Network OS & Anti-Virus Guidelines - All dorm computers must be cleared of all viruses and worms before be granted access to the Residential Network. This page provides guidelines on how to install the latest security patches, and scanning media for viruses.
Web Authoring Guidelines - The quality of information published and communicated by Immaculata plays an important role in maintaining the strong reputation and image of IU. Members of the IU community are invited to create electronic Web pages, publication pages, or other electronic publications based on the Web Authoring Guidelines.
