Continuing Education Financial Aid Details

Students participating in the College of LifeLong Learning at Immaculata University may be eligible for the following Financial Aid options.

Pell Grants

Pell grants range from a minimum of $400 to a maximum of $4,000 depending on eligibility results and enrollment status, full-time, three quarter or half-time.

PHEAA State Grant

PHEAA State Grant is for students that have resided in PA for at least one year. These grants range from a minimum of $200 to a maximum of $3,300 depending on eligibility and enrollment status. Continuing education students are considered evening students according to PHEAA. This classification will change the amount of the state grant initially reported on the letter received by the student from PHEAA during the month of May.

The filing deadline for state grant eligibility is May 1st.

Federal Grant Programs

Stafford Subsidized/Unsubsidized student loan eligibility is based on enrollment, grade level, and dependent or independent status.

You must enroll for classes at least half time (6 credits each semester) at the beginning of each semester to qualify for a student loan. In the continuing education programs enrollment is

Full-Time 12 credits per semester
Three Quarter-Time 9 credits per semester
Half-Time 6 credits per semester

You must complete a Stafford/Unsubsidized Loan master promissory note and mail it to PHEAA or to the Financial Aid Office if your lender is out of state.

To borrow subsequent loans after borrowing the maximum amount for your grade level you must pass 24 credits in the academic year in which you initially borrowed.

A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filed every academic year to establish eligibility for any of the above programs. In addition to the FAFSA the Immaculata University Student Aid Application must be completed.
