Graduate Financial Aid Requirements
Individuals applying for Graduate financial assistance must be a degree candidate (MA, Ed.D, and Psy.D.) or pursuing an approved graduate certification to qualify for student financial assistance in the form of Federal Stafford student loans
You must enroll for classes at least 10 days prior to the beginning of each semester to qualify for a student loan. Loans may be returned if you are not registered on time or if you do not carry enough credits. In the graduate programs, enrollment is as follows:
| Status | Credits/Semester |
|---|---|
| Full-time | 6 credits |
| Half-time | 3 credits |
| Updated: July 2004 | |
Please remember that you must successfully complete 18 credits per academic level and be in good academic standing for renewal of any student aid at the next academic level.
You must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) and return it to PHEAA or to the Student Financial Aid Office if your lender is out of state. A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filed every year to establish eligibility for the Stafford Loan. For more information see Applying for Financial Aid.
A limited number of Merit Scholarships are available yearly. Please see the Immaculata University Graduate Catalog and Student Handbook for details.
Payment of all balances not covered by financial aid is your responsibility. Grades and future enrollment may be jeopardized if account balances are not paid in full. Check with the Business Office.
