Accelerated Degree Programs (ACCEL®)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Offered by the Nursing Department, this degree completion program was developed so that registered nurses can complete requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in about two years. Typically employed full-time, students attend one night or one morning per week on a year-round basis. The 50-credit program is relevant to the world of work and to professional and personal goals, combining upper division nursing courses with courses in the liberal arts.

Accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), the accelerated degree program RN to BSN program prepares registered nurses for positions of leadership in today’s multi-faceted, complex health care industry. The program also provides preparation for students wishing to pursue graduate studies.

The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accredited the program in October 2004. The National League of Nursing has accredited this program since 1989.
