ENG 106 Composition I ----------------------------------------- 3 Credit Hours
Introduction to academic writing and research techniques with emphasis
on using language clearly and correctly (ENG 106 is the prerequisite for ENG
107).
PHI 100 An Introduction to the Liberal Art -------------------- 3 Credit Hours
Studies the organization and classification of knowledge and modes of thought and applies these concepts to contemporary personal and professional thinking and decision-making.
CIS 203 Computers and Information --------------------------- 3 credit Hours
Explores how and why computers are bringing about a shift in the meaning of and the access to information. Hands-on use of computers is an essential ingredient of the course. Students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to use computers for common business applications, to understand the fundamentals of technology, and to assess the advantages and limitations of computers.

Continuation of writing and research techniques with emphasis on using language clearly and correctly (Prerequisite: ENG 106).
BUS 101 Introduction to Business ------------------------------- 3 Credit Hours
Focuses on the general concepts of business. The course provides an introduction to the theories and techniques used by managers in both day-to-day operations and long range planning.
THE 335 Christian Faith in Action -- ----------------------------- 3 Credit Hours
This course investigates the fundamental teaching of the Christian faith and role of prayer and spirituality in living an authentic Christian life.
SOC 246 Social Issues in the Workplace ---------------------- 3 Credit Hours
Addresses social concerns experienced in the work environment. The course uses a sociological perspective to find solutions to workplace difficulties.
BUS 309 Marketing Principles and Practices ------------------- 3 Credit Hours
This course explores marketing operations, functions, and institutions with particular emphasis on consumer goods. It considers consumer motivation and behavior, retailing and wholesaling, product planning, distribution, pricing policies, marketing research, advertising, and sales promotion.
HIS 116 The Making of World Civilization ---------------------- 3 Credit Hours
An introductory survey of the development and transformation of the world’s major civilizations since the 15th century. The course emphasizes the process of social, economic, and political change as the West asserts global dominance, the reaction of non-western societies, and the development of interdependence among civilizations in the contemporary world.
THE 201 Living the Truth in Love ------------------------------- 3 Credit Hours
Investigates, reflects and applies moral principles to personal and professional life. Issues concerning life and death, sexuality and marriage, rights and justice are among the many topics addressed.
COM 240 Forms of Professional Writing ------------------------ 3 Credit Hours
Examines style and form in business and professional writing with emphasis on direct sentence patterns and clear language.
POL 233 American Public Policy -------------------------------- 3 Credit Hours
This course combines theory, case studies, and historical analysis to determine how issues are included on the government agenda, how policy is shaped, and what impact policies have. Issues studied are drawn from the broad categories of health care, economic policy, science and environmental regulation, and social problems such as poverty, welfare, racial divisions, and crime.
PHI 209 Logic and Knowledge --------------------------------- 3 Credit Hours
This course provides formal argument analysis and extended argumentation. It introduces the student to the different modes of thought employed in various disciplines with particular attention to philosophic issues.
BUS 315 Business Law I ---------------------------------------- 3 Credit Hours
Fundamental principles of law as they affect and relate to the business world and to business transactions. In-depth study of the law of contract as the foundation of all business transactions. Included is an overview of various types of business associations.
BUS 301 International Business -------------------------------- 3 Credit Hours
The course provides insight into the growing importance of nations engaged in international business. Topics include global trade, global marketing, cultural dimensions, and foreign investment activities that companies must consider in order to compete in the global marketplace.

ACC 206 Managerial Accounting -------------------------------- 3 Credit Hours
Introduces concepts in analyzing and interpreting accounting information in product and service costing. Application of accounting information and statements in management planning, control, and decision-making.
MAT 201 College Algebra I with Applications-------------------- 3 Credit Hours
An intermediate algebra course that teaches student to read, write, and think mathematically with the language of algebra. Applications common to business, accounting, economics, and other disciplines are explored. Topics include real numbers, graphing, linear equations and inequalities, and polynomials.

MAT 202 College Algebra II with Applications -------------------3 Credit Hours
An intermediate algebra course that teaches student to read, write, and think mathematically with the language of algebra. Applications common to business, accounting, economics, and other disciplines are explored. Topics include graphing; rational and radical expressions; polynomial functions, inequalities; and exponential and logarithmic functions. (Prerequisite: Math 201 or equivalent)
