President’s Council: Divisions of Mission
Corporate Philanthropy
Suggested time/involvement: With the onset of the Capital Campaign the entire Council should be in alignment with the short and long-term goals of the Campaign. The Council Ad Hoc core group, with feedback from the Task Forces, can set a two year plan at the end of the first semester. Meetings should occur twice a year with entire Council present.
Corporate philanthropy is the overreaching goal of the President’s Council. It allows for top level corporate connections and alignments to be made through identification and action steps. This mutually beneficial collaboration of the President’s Council members, the University, and potential corporate friends enhances all the relationships within the greater community.
Task Forces
Each task force will undertake and strategically lay out goals and objectives in alignment with the new vision in corporate philanthropy of the President’s Council as stated in the Council’s Statement of Purpose.
Corporate Task Force

- Works actively in the development of relationship building and distributing information in alignment with long-term President Council and Capital Campaign mission and goals.
- Sets strategic goals and actions for each fiscal year
- Reviews the University’s lists of corporate prospects
- Identifies corporate prospects: name names; open doors
- Visits with corporate friends along with Immaculata representatives
- Updates to Public Relations office periodically
- Clearing house on topics with regard to Immaculata University’s standards

Entrepreneurial Educational Task Force
Suggested time/involvement: Holds face to face meetings and/or conference calls two or three times a semester or as needed.

- Investigates potential common goals between corporations and the University’s various educational departments
- Promotes the mission of Immaculata which is to educate the whole person by featuring current educational topics through the following:
- Roundtables
- Prestigious Campus Visitors
- Internships/Externships
- Speakers Forum
- Updates to Public Relations office periodically
- Clearing house on topics with regard to Immaculata University’s standards

Outreach Task Force
Suggested time/involvement: Holds face to face meetings and/or conference calls two or three times a semester or as needed.

- Aids the University’s outreach and social justice work by uniting area businesses with the local community while seeking a link to Immaculata University
- Assists with partnerships with local service groups including, Habitat for Humanity; Rotary, Doctors Without Borders, etc.
- Serves as a link between the Council and the University’s Campus Ministry and Student Services Departments.
- Fosters outreach programs via collaboration between Immaculata and the local community
- Updates to Public Relations office periodically
- Clearing house on topics with regard to Immaculata University’s standards
