Statement of Purpose
Immaculata University
President’s Council
Statement of Purpose:
The President’s Council of Immaculata University is committed to promoting the goals, programs and needs of the University among community business leaders through increased and sustained corporate and foundation support.
To help meet this objective, the President’s Council will create an annual corporate campaign. By aligning University strengths with strategic interests of funders, new benchmarks for giving will be achieved. The challenge for the President’s Council will be to elevate corporate support by assisting the President and University leadership in securing gifts from the University’s major corporate prospects and cultivation of new corporate prospects. Expanding support from, and strengthening access to, the area’s premier corporations will further Immaculata University’s position as:
- A responsive partner helping to meet the need for interns, entry-and professional-level employees and executive training
- An ally in achieving positive change in the community and society resulting in a more dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
- A strategic partner in the discovery and definition of new theories, practices and products in achieving a thriving and vibrant community that benefits both education and business
The University’s continued success in this area is contingent on the ability to carry out a deliberate plan of action and on the combination of attractive academic programs, prominent alumni, institutional reputation, committed volunteers and a strong institutional commitment to support aggressive growth in corporate giving.
Mobilizing a loyal and influential group of business leaders to increase access to prospective corporate partners and to endorse the case for capital support of Immaculata University’s strategic initiatives will increase both the size and number of corporate gifts to the University.
The purpose of the Council is to:
- Advise the President, Trustees and Campaign Executive Committee on developing strategic partnerships between the University and major corporations
- Engage an active and expansive network of corporate leaders
- Leverage influence of Immaculata University Alumni and Parents in the corporate community
- Serve as the Campaign focal point for the University’s major corporate funding strategies
Membership and Member Responsibilities:
Members will be selected on the basis of their standing and influence in for-profit and non-profit sectors, and their commitment to further the educational mission and goals of the University. An ideal level of membership will be established. As advisors to the President and Campaign leaders, the Council will focus on securing financial commitments for the Campaign and unrestricted Annual Fund. Specifically Council members will be asked to:
