Alumni Association
The purpose of the Immaculata University Alumni Association is to encourage the pursuit of Catholic principles, to promote the growth and advancement of Immaculata University, to maintain connection with the intellectual vitality of the university, to further cultural and social activities within the Association, and for such other specific purposes as may be set forth in the By-Laws of the Association.
HISTORY
The Alumni Association began in the Green Room of Villa Maria Hall on June 1, 1925. Nine members of the charter class met to begin writing the Constitution for an alumnae association. The name, as well as the constitution would change and grow from those very small beginnings to what it is today. The alums of any institution are an intrinsic part of the continued success of the institution. Without their support, spiritual, philosophical, emotional and financial, Immaculata could not exist.
As with any organization, there has to be a governing body and Immaculata has been very fortunate over the years to have loyal and dedicated people willing to volunteer their time and talents for the good of the Association.
Much more in-depth explanations of the Alumni Association's origins, structure and history through the years can be found in the Archives located in Gabriele Library. There are pictures, artifacts and memorabilia—an interesting "walk down memory land."
