Social Work Minor

Rationale
A minor in social work provides the student with an understanding of basic sociological concepts and processes and an opportunity to explore the helping profession of social work. The social work courses include two semesters of direct experience with clients in a social service setting under professional supervision.
This minor also provides the student with an opportunity to probe the social issues of society within the context of the Catholic Christian value system of social justice.
