School Nurse Certification Program
Approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the School Nurse Certification enables baccalaureate-prepared nurses to practice holistic health care in school environments. The required education courses may be completed at the graduate and/or undergraduate level. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Requirements for Certification
- B.S.N. degree from Immaculata University or other NLN approved program.
- Completion of the required courses. A description of the courses required for the School Nursing Certificate can be viewed by selecting Required Courses.

- EDU 301 - Social Foundations of Education and
- EDU 381 - Introduction to Education of the Exceptional Child
- Graduate
- NUR 420 - School Health Theory and Practice
