Nursing Department MSN Admission Requirements

Admission into the College of Graduate Studies requires the following:

  1. Completed application form.
  2. Non-refundable application fee of $25.00 in the form of a check or money order.
  3. Official transcript from each undergraduate and graduate school attended. Official transcripts should be forwarded directly to the College of Graduate Studies from the school registrar(s). A BSN from an AACN accredited school with a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for admission.
  4. Two recommendations appraising the applicant’s personal and professional qualities as well as capability for graduate study. Reference forms are included in the application packet. References should be completed by academic professors or employers and forwarded directly to the College of Graduate Studies.
  5. Acceptable scores on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). (Applicants with an undergraduate grade point average of 3.5 or greater are not required to submit test scores.)
  6. Official score on Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for International Students. Other required documentation for international students is listed in the Graduate Catalog.
  7. Goals Statement. A one page essay addressing the following: Discuss your professional goals and how graduate study at Immaculata University will enable you to achieve those goals.
  8. An official interview with the Director of the MSN Program.
  9. Current RN license (copy).

Note: At the time of the practicums additional documents will be required, including a copy of current RN license, health insurance, and malpractice insurance.
