Nursing Department Program Features

Immaculata University offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through the Accelerated Continuing and Experiential Learning (ACCEL) Program to meet the needs of adult students who wish to complete the program. Students are typically employed full-time and are interested in working toward their degree while maintaining employment. The opportunity to attend college one night or one day per week, on a year around basis, allows for completion of degree requirements within a reasonable time frame. Courses are designed to be relevant to the world of work and to professional and personal goals.

The ACCEL way of delivering education offers specific benefits to the adult student:

  1. Completion of the ACCEL Nursing program in less than two years
  2. Attendance only one night or one day per week
  3. Acceptance of credits earned in and out of the classroom
  4. Honing of leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  5. Interaction with a small group of fellow learners
  6. Peer support in a seminar environment
