Nursing Department BSN Admission Requirements
Requirements for admission to the College of LifeLong Learning and the ACCEL program in nursing include the following:
- Current R.N. licensure; graduation from an NLN accredited nursing program.
- In addition to nursing courses, an applicant needs to have successfully completed the following:
- 6 credits - English Composition
- 3 credits - Sociology
- 3 credits - Psychology
- 3 credits - Lifespan Development
- 6-8 credits - Anatomy and Physiology
- 3-4 credits - Microbiology
- 3-4 credits - Chemistry
- 3 credits Nutrition
- Grade point average of 2.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale for previous college work.
- Submission of a copy of current licensure, a physical examination, professional liability insurance, and current CPR certification.
- Personal interview.
- Official transcripts from all colleges and hospital schools of nursing attended.
- Completion of an application for admission and payment of $50 application fee.
