Music Hall

Located a short distance from the beautiful rotunda in the original campus building, the Music Hall is the heart of Department of Music. Its architectural design is of Italian Renaissance style and its 18 comfortable studios, surrounding a large and acoustically pleasing recital hall, provide for individual practice, music instruction and instrument storage. Practice studios provide an adequate number of very well maintained pianos.

Memorial Hall

This very beautifully designed and appointed recital hall is located near the Music Hall and provides seating for approximately 120 people. It is a perfect site with pleasing acoustics for chamber ensembles and solo recitals.

The Great Hall

A recital hall of classical beauty able to accommodate approximately 250 people, this facility is another acoustically satisfying facility for solo recitals and ensemble performances.

Alumni Hall Theatre

This is the large 1150 seat theatre which is part of the Physical Education/Performing Arts building. It is the site of IMS and Chorale concerts as well as performances of guest artists and various musical and dance groups.

Good Counsel Hall

In this building, adjacent to the Music Hall, are classrooms for music courses. Located here also are the well-equipped Piano Lab, and the Computer/Technology Lab. This facility is connected to the Faculty Center where many faculty have their personal offices.

The Rotunda

This breathtakingly beautiful area is at the center of the original building on campus. With its marvelous acoustical quality, the rotunda becomes the perfect place for many traditional events of university life such as Ring Day, Freshman Investiture, and Carol Night where the sound of music is never better!

Music Therapy Center

Located on the second floor of Villa Maria Hall, this is the center for supervised laboratory work in Music Therapy Technologies [MTT] and Biofeedback Music Research and is the graduate music therapy office.

Villa Maria Chapel

This is the lovely and peaceful main chapel on campus and the site of all the Sunday and other principle liturgies. It is here that members of Music Ministry provide music as part of their service and participation in the Liturgical Studies Program.
